Gov Oborovwori Urges Levant Company to Sustain It’s Reputation

Governor Sheriff Oborovwori of Delta State has urged Levant Construction Company to Sustain It’s reputation for quality and deliver the Ugbolu-Okpanam Road Project in Oshimili Local Government North Area within specified time frame.
“Given the proven track record of Levant Construction Company, I have no doubt that they will deliver”, Oborovwori declared.
Speaking at the event despite the weather disruption, Governor Oborovwori described the12km road project as a landmark in his administration’s drive to deliver durable and sustainable infrastructure under the More Agenda.
He said “The groundbreaking marks another significant milestone in furtherance of this administration’s More Agenda. Our infrastructure plan as clearly outlined in the agenda is anchored on the prudent allocation of resources towards the delivery of reliable, high quality and durable road infrastructure across Delta State”.
Governor Sheriff Oborovwori further linked the N2.3b Ugbolu-Okpanam Road project to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) 9 and 11which advocate resilient infrastructure and sustainable cities.
The road will connect Ugbolu and Okpanam communities, will improve access to Ibusa and Akwukwu-Igbo,and ease Asaba traffic congestion, Oborovwori said.
He also promised that the road project would stimulate agricultural productivity, reduce crime along the corridor, and enhance socio economic activities in the Local Government Area.
Governor Sheriff Oborovwori assured Deltans that there would not be upward review of the project cost, pointing that his administration is not owing any contractor, weather for inherited or newly awarded projects.
Sheriff Oborovwori stated “We have consistently maintained prompt payment within five days of certification to encourage timely project completion”
